In 1993, Dr. T. Murt Byrne first opened the Eldorado Animal Clinic with just one employee in a 2,000 sq. ft. facility off of highway 285 in Santa Fe County. Today the Eldorado Animal Clinic operates in a 7,000 sq. ft. building and the number of employees has increased from one to 11.

Our current staff includes four dedicated doctors, one practice manager, two registered/licensed veterinary technicians, three experienced veterinary assistants, and a very knowledgeable and friendly receptionist. We have five exam rooms, a double surgery suite, an ultrasound and endoscopy room, intensive care cages for dogs and cats, oncological services, and complete diagnostic and nursing facilities. Our founder Dr. Byrne is currently the President-elect of the New Mexico Veterinary Medical Association, a member of the American Veterinary Medical Association and Valle del Norte Veterinary Medical Association. In 2008 he was chosen as NMVMA’s Veterinarian of the Year.
