Dr. Eric Del Mar, DVM

EDr. Del Mar began his education at the University of New Mexico and then the University of Maryland. He spent 3 years in the United States Army, then graduated from the University of Georgia with a Doctorate of Veterinary Medicine in 1977. Dr. Del Mar previously owned his own practice in Santa Fe, and came out of retirement in 200? to work at Eldorado Animal Clinic. He is a member of the American Veterinary Medical Association, the New Mexico Veterinary Medical Association, and Valle del Norte Veterinary Medical Association.

When asked why he became a veterinarian, Dr. Del Mar said,

“I’ve always enjoyed working with animals.”

Dr. Del Mar lives in Santa Fe with his wife, 4 dogs and 2 cats. When he is not working, Eric enjoys astronomy, gardening, baseball and woodworking. The staff at Eldorado Animal Clinic also enjoys that Eric likes gardening.
