Why did you become a veterinarian?

"I decided on veterinary medicine for a career at a young age. When I was a kid in Ohio the family spaniel died from distemper. I remember the feelings of frustration and helplessness. I felt that there must be something I could do.
Veterinary medicine allowed me to combine my love of animals with my love of science."

Dr. Murt lives in Eldorado with his two children. He has an unruly Irish terrier named Mick and a cat named Chip.
